Deputy PM says Russia may have new spike of inflation in 2022

MOSCOW, Dec 10 (PRIME) – There may be a new spike of inflation in 2022, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov said on a forum on Friday.

"We're now in a second wave of inflation and we will certainly see a third one because this second wave will produce a third spike with a high probability linked again to food, especially in the second half of the year," Belousov said.

The statistics service estimated November's inflation at 0.96% after 1.11% in October, but annual inflation accelerated to 8.4% from 8.13%.
